The Baltic Sea Festival’s founder Esa-Pekka Salonen starts off this year’s programme with a concert focusing on heroes and anti-heroes in the name of love. Peter Mattei and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra perform works by Gustav Mahler, Béla Bartók and Hector Berlioz.
Swedish-Norwegian rising star Johan Dalene appears on the Baltic Festival stage in Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G Minor together with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Harding, who also leads the orchestra in Richard Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben – A Hero’s Life.
